Back For More Of The Death Punch Sound

It has been a while since my last concert review, but I'm back to tell you about four bands that the went well beyond my expectations. The Line-up included Gemini Syndrome, Miss May I, Escape the Fate, and none other than Five Finger Death Punch. I was expecting big things from Five Finger Death Punch since I last saw them at Mayhem Fest, and on occasion I listen to Escape the Fate, but this was my first time hearing about Miss May I and Gemini Syndrome. In all honesty and respect I wasn't expecting much from them, but I could not have been more wrong and happier that I was. These bands all played incredibly well that it made this possibly the best concert I have ever went to.

Gemini Syndrome was the opening band and they put on a great performance and really set the bar high for the rest of the night. They are a truly unique band in how they sound like if Disturbed were to develop a Metalcore vocalist style. Not only do they sound amazing but they put on one amazing show as well with the crazy stunts and antics they all perform. The Drummer would literally fling his sticks in the air catch them and continue without missing a beat. He even came off the stage after their set to high-five and stamp the bands logo on to people's arms including my own. Though this band has not gained much airplay or publicity, I can see them becoming a big name in the Metal world in due time.

The next band to play was Miss May I, much like Gemini Syndrome, I didn't know much about them but I was really surprised on how well the played and sounded. Like many metalcore bands they offered a variety in theirs songs by incorporating both screaming and melodic vocals on top of great guitar riffs and drum beats. But how they combine both the music and vocals together makes them sound very different compared to other bands in that genre. After hearing Miss May I for the first time I was taken by surprise that these guys sounded so great that I'm surprised I haven't of them before that night.

Escape the Fate was the third band that night and the continued to raise the bar that both Gemini Syndrome and Miss May I had set. Though these guys have been around for a few years and their latest album has gained much deserved attention, they still put on a great show. Their set list had the song “issues” and You're Insane back to back which the whole venue explode with such excitement. Even their banter and jokes in between songs was hilarious and showed these guys are not just musicians and performers. As they went on I was completely astounded on how this night could get any better but it was about to.

The time had Come for Five Finger Death Punch to show the whole world who is the biggest and baddest name in metal and they did it. As the came out playing “Under It Over It” the whole venue became an entire mosh pit with people pushing in every direction. These guys are not only great showmen but they always bring up the topic of American Pride and the soldiers who have and are currently fighting for freedom all over the world. At one point a soldier had crowed surfed over the barrier and Ivan Moody preceded to thank him personally as he walked by him it was just a moving sight. Five Finger Death Punch's popularity has risen immensely in t every time for their continued support he past few years to the point that have headlined event like Mayhem Fest, but they still very humble to
their fans and the speaks a lot to all the fans. All these bands brought their best and I would recommend them to anyone all you have to do is open your ears, listen, and Headbang.
