You've Got To Be Joking...

Oh, I just think that I’m so punny... Lol.

By now you’ve all been made painfully aware of Jared Leto as The Joker? Well… Here’s a brief opinion from me, Andi.

No, no, no, no, oh, no.

I love Jared Leto, I love the music he comes out with, and I’m not blind, he’s beautiful. He’s a talented young man with a lot of skill and promise. However… Jared Leto… As The Joker? My brain can literally not handle this. I’ve seen the pictures for days now, And under the makeup I can still see Jared. But I can’t see Jared as The Joker. Make sense? I am absolutely okay with the two entities as something separate, but together, Leto as The Joker, I’m very, very skeptical of.

Now, like I said, he’s a talented young man and I’ve honestly got my fingers crossed that he does a great job… I just wish I was able to say I was more hopeful for that. I will however, say that I am very interested to see Margot Robbie as Harley. If ya’ll have a picture, a real picture, send it my way.

What do you guys think of the casting for The Suicide Squad so far? I’d love to know!

Youtube Has Taken Down a Great Show

Within the last couple of months a GREAT Webisode show on YouTube has sprung up and captured the nerdy hearts of many.  Melissa Hunter's Adult Wednesday Addams.  The show follows the life of Wednesday Addams after leaving the Mansion in order to follow her own path.  Each Wednesday, Wednesday Addams takes on a different problem.  Ranging from meeting her potential new roommates, to interviewing for a job and taking on a protestor at an Abortion Clinic.  All the while using her clever and witty barbs and manipulating the situation to her favor.  Melissa Hunter (Wednesday) has captured the spirit and overall power that is Wednesday and made it her own.

But YouTube has taken down the show for copyright infringement.  Melissa is currently in the process of getting the show back on the air.  So to her I say good luck and hope to see you as Wednesday soon.

The only way I know how to show support is by doing something like this.  Making my readers aware of the situation so that they can reach out to their friends.  Show your support by telling YouTube you want to see More Adult Wednesday Addams.  A collective of voices can grow strong by talking about the same thing.

Thank you for reading and I implore you to show Melissa Hunter support in anyway you can.

If you liked this or want to comment than please do so.

Thank You for reading

Mortal Kombat!! (You know you just yelled it like the song...)

Let’s start this off by saying that I have always, always been a fan of Mortal Kombat games. Perhaps in part to the fact that my mother refused to allow me to play them as a child… Which just meant that I played as hard as I could at anyone’s house that had the games, or in any arcade format that I could get my hands on. I of course always favored the female characters, Sonya having been my favorite for the absolute longest time. Girl power and all… Thanks Spice Girls. So when I first read about MKX coming out I looked into what characters were going to be available to me. Sadly I didn’t see some of those that I have come to love, Li Mei being one of them. I was bummed out that I would have to once again learn all of these new fancy characters and their stories and moves.

I can honestly say that the story mode is worth playing! The story is in depth, well thought out, and expertly executed. And the new characters that I had made myself worry about, are actually rather playable. My favorite being Sonya’s daughter, Cassie Cage; she’s a quick spitfire with hard hitting moves. MKX has followed in the ways of the previous games and brought back the Xray moves, each specifically designed per character. The fatalities are just as gruesome as ever; blood and guts galore. There are multiple styles of playing within the story mode. It really is a story, you do a lot of watching cut scenes and learning the background, but within there is also quick hitting trigger buttons and plenty of fights. You aren’t limited to just playing the side of the good guys, some of the fights you are the ‘bad guy’ characters. Though, this does at a certain level of predictability within the game.
The more I play into the story mode the happier I keep getting. For as upset as I was about not having some of my favorite characters as playables, it is still nice to see them in the story mode. And it seems that the further into the story mode I’m getting the more characters that are showing up. Did they forget absolutely any of them? So far, the answer has been ‘no’. – Side note… I googled it… There’s a lot missing, I think I was just being biased based on those that I actually liked
Each level has a predetermined limit of features that are able to be interacted with. Some designed to help you distance yourself from your opponent, whereas others help damage the others by throwing pots, flinging ashes, and even tossing old ladies (my personal favorite right there.). Maybe my mind is a bit more twisted than it should be, but some of the interactions are just laughable.

Now. I haven’t played through the game fully, nor do I wish to give away any plot spoilers, but I will say that this game is well worth the money. I think the only grievance I have had with the game so far is the way that they’ve handled the Krypt. And it isn’t even so much how you use the krypt, it is just the movement in which you go through the krypt. Minus that, I don’t really have anything negative to say about the game thus far… And I hope that it’ll stay that way.

Fast forward like 2 hours or so and I beasted through the entire story line. I still say it was a good story line. I still approve of everything. Now, me being me I do wish that the story line would have been longer. However on the other side of the same coin if they had made it longer, it may have felt drawn out.

Let me know what ya’ll think of the game if you’ve played it. Or if you have intentions of playing the game! I had fun with it. I’d love to know what ya’ll think!

Cooking with Hiei

My favorite way to cook Corned Beef and Cabbage

What you will Need

one or two nice Sized Nathan's Corned Beef Brisket
A Twelve or Six pack of your favorite beer.
Water
Potatoes
Cabbage
Onions
Carrots

Open Brisket Package, Rinse off brine thoroughly (unless you like your Corned Beef really salty)
Place Brisket in a cooking pot or a Dutch Oven
Use 1 bottle of your favorite beer and pour over the Brisket fill the rest of the pot with water to submerge the brisket by 2 inches. Add the seasoning packet from the package the brisket came in.

Bring to boil and than let Simmer for 4 to 5 hours

Flip Brisket every hour.  (have additional hot water ready to pour in should the liquid boil out)

At the last 20 mins of cooking add Onions, Carrots, Cabbage and Potatoes. (This part is optional)

Remove briskets after the 20 minutes with the Onions, Carrots, Cabbage and Potatoes.

Cut Brisket Against the Grain and Serve.

If you want to be bold try roasting your potatoes and carrots and boil the cabbage.  But hey that is up to you.

I hope you enjoy and if you cook this.  Tell me what you think or take pictures of the results.  :)

My Theories on Game of Thrones

Today is a post I like to call GAME OF THRONES THEORIES

Welcome readers to my first ever theory post.  In where I try to explain my reason of thinking behind certain things.  Today I want to talk about The Bastard Stark.  Jon Snow

Through out book one you are thrown into the fact that Jon Snow is The Bastard of Eddard Stark and Wylla (Why-La) of House Dayne.  Or so we are led to believe.  I think Jon Snow is much more than we are led to believe and closer to a certain character in lineage on the wall.  I believe Jon Snow to be the true heir to the Iron Throne.  Thats right I believe in reality Jon Snow is the Son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.

This is why I think this.  Remember in book one when Ned and Robert are feasting on the Kingsroad and reminiscing of the past, Robert brings up some girl Ned had mentioned named Wylla.  But Here is the kicker Wylla was never described to Robert by his best friend who was like a brother to him.  It was also during the trip south to bring Lyanna's remains to Winterfell that we find out that Lyanna had Eddard swear to keep a secret and Eddard not only brought home his supposed bastard but his sister's dead body as well..

It is because of this I believe that Wylla of House Dayne is not real and a story told to keep the secret of his sister dying in birthing Jon Snow (Targaryen).  It is also why I believe Eddard commands his wife never to speak of the other woman because it reminds him of the lie he invented to keep his sister's secret.

Or I could just be as mad as The Mad King

But hey.  It's just a theory...... A Game of Thrones Theory.

Furious 7

A review by HieiYYH2

As a fan of this franchise, overall I have mixed feelings on this installment.  On some levels it was great and unfortunately on others.  I found it bad.  But I shall delve into that shortly.  Let me first say that this movie was a very good send off for the actor known as Paul Walker.  He died in a car accident before the movie was completed a moment in time which rocked both the fan base and the cast and crew of the franchise.  Paul Walker like most of the cast had been in every installment of the series save for Tokyo Drift.  Paul Walker will be missed and the Tribute to him at the end of the movie was both fitting and moving.

FORWARD AND ONWARD

(If you do not want spoilers please skip to the second paragraph)

The movie opens with Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) visiting his now crippled little brother Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) in a London Hospital.  Vowing to take down the team who crippled Owen, Deckard proceeds out of the hospital as the opening credits roll with the destruction caused by Deckard getting to his brother.  Jump cut to Dom and Letty as they travel the dessert to reach Race Wars an event in which they created apparently together.  After a brief race and a reunion with Hector we jump to Brian who looks ready to get into a race only to pull out to reveal he is a family man driving a mini-van.  We are than taken to the office of Hobbs as he is filing away paper work or some such office duty with his really loud sounding stamp and the Brazilian beauty from Fast Five whom receives a letter of recommendation from Hobbs to transfer to another agency.  It is never really said as to what she will be doing.  Hobbs walks back inside to find Deckard Shaw at his desk.  And than begins in my opinion.  The Best fight in the entire movie.  You have two brilliant action heroes fighting each other and Deckard Shaw proving you don't have to be big to win a fight by dealing crazy damage with his martial arts skills.  When Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson layth the Rock Bottom on Statham it was a thing of beauty and I was hoping against hope Rock would roll over and get up and lay down the People's Elbow.  But alas we are not treated to two of Rock's finishers.  The fight ends with Rock saving his friend from an explosion and being blasted out the window and onto a car putting big bad Hobbs on the sidelines.  The movie progresses to the point of where we left off from Fast Six with Han's death at the hands of Deckard Shaw and an extension to it with 1327 in LA being blown sky high.  I will go no further as I have spoiled enough of the beginning.

While I can appreciate this movie on a certain level on another I feel that it should have waited another year or two and respect the wishes of the director who has been a major part of the franchise from the beginning.  Taking the Director's chair is James Wan the director of the Saw movies.  He does do somethings right in following Justin Lin's style for the movies.  But adding his own style just made the movie seem rushed and jumpy instead of flowing and smooth.  There was A LOT of jump cuts and cutting in of Stock Footage from the older movies to tie together the story but it just seemed out of place in say the scenes involving Lucas Black's character from Tokyo Drift you can clearly tell the difference nine years makes in a character.  I can apprechiate the homage to the older film but if you are going to continue it from that point like nothing happened..... just redo the scene cut the actors who didn't return (Shad Moss) and (Nathalie Kelley) use Moss's voice for the Challenge but just keep the camera focused on Black and than do the race between Sean and Dom and than have the part where Sean gives Dom the necklace.  You would have had a much more believable scene instead of having Black suddenly age nine years.  And you would have saved on budget from having to pay the other two actors royalties for their likeness in the film.  Now we move to the new element of the story...... Kurt Russel.  While from a stand point of Russel being a cinema icon he was terrible for the role and didn't take it seriously at all.  Russel felt very cartoonish and just a means to get another well known actor into your film.  Russel was a huge disservice to the film in general.  What was with the Beer.  Of all things promoting a Belgian beer made by monks and Corona in a supposedly serious and secret government agency is just disarming and highly unbelievable for the character and what it stands for.  There is product placement and then there is just straight up derailing a scene to promote your sponsor.

I did however enjoy the aspect of the hunter program introduced while realistically it would be unbelievable but from a cinema stand point and what the characters deal with.  It isn't all that far fetched.  It adds a sense of urgency and importance to why the characters need to save the creator and gives them a way to find the person who is putting down their teammates.

Overall I have to say that this installment of the franchise does not make it into my top three favorites for this series.  It is near the bottom.  There is many scenes that feel rushed, out of place and down right foolish.  James Wan did a sub par job on this film and I feel he should go back to pandering to his Saw fans.  I also feel that this movie should have waited another year or two in order to give Justin Lin time to come back like he had planned too, and the movie would have probably been better.

Fan stand point this movie was fun and enjoyable.  I give it a 7 out of 10.

From a critic Stand point..... I give this movie a 5 out of 10.  It is a passable movie but it is clearly rushed even more so by the death of a main actor.  This movie could have been done so much better and it is a shame to see this Series knocked down so low after a much better 5th and 6th movie before it.

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you enjoy.  Despite my review I do suggest that you go out and watch this movie for some good mindless fun.

Tech Services If You Please

Hey guys.

Some of you know, and some of you don't. But aside from being a super hero by night... I am a computer technician by day. I work for a bug company that has a lot of stupid rules in regards to what we can and cannot do. For that specific reason I have started my own little company of sorts.

The company I work for currently doesn't allow for any tutorials or lessons for customers who don't understand computers. They would rather charge an 'hourly labor fee' of almost $80 in place of what could be a $30 half an hour tutorial depending on what someone needs to be taught. The company I work for, in my absolute honest opinion, just like any other large corporation only wants the money; they don't care if they are over charging their customers because they know that the customer will pay.

So I'm at the point where I am creating my inventory list, the list of services that I will offer my clients and want to make sure that I'm not overlooking anything.

If there were a local tech service near you; what services would you like to see offered?

Hiei's Top Ten Boss fights

How do you describe level achievement.  Do you describe it as how many trophies or achievements you unlocked?  Or are you old school like I am and you find your mastery of gaming put to the test by the Boss of a level or a game?  Welcome readers to another Top Ten List.

BOSS FIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!

Going from 10 to 1 this countdown style list will be accompanied by why I placed them where I did.

IT'S NUMBER X

Super Mario World Bowser: Ahhh yes the shades of the first game I took seriously. Hours on hours.  Days on days.  Watching my brother beat levels better than I ever could..... But than it happened.  I found entrance into the final castle.  MY JOURNEY WAS NEAR AN END..... Once you mastered the castles various paths you come to King Koopa himself.  BOWSER!!!!!!!!! (Insert god chorus music) and the battle begins you have to figure out how to beat him.  It was a satisfying day when i finally beat that game too.  I placed this at number 10 because of the Nostalgia and the challenge it serves for young gamers.

NUMBER IX

The Addams Family on Super Nintendo The Wacky Scientist:  The game itself is fun and pretty to look at.  A much improved version of it's NES counter part.  The super version is far more responsive and better to to handle.  Pugsley's boss The Wacky Scientist.  Was my favorite boss and as I found it challenging especially the level leading up to the boss.  Once I finally beat him I felt elated and the response you get from Pugsley is hilarious.

NUMBER VIII

Your Rival From Poke'Mon Blue and Red:  Yes yes I know the game is childish, I know it is a big game of Rock Paper Scissor.  But the build up is amazing.  You fought through the Eight Gyms, you mastered Victory Road, and than you got to face down the Elite Four only to find out you are not yet champion..... You had to fight your rival.  All of your training all of your defeating your rival gets test one last time...... Or you could glitch out the game and get unlimited Rare Candy and get level 100 pokemon and make the game a cake walk.  Or. You can show your skills as a PokeMon Master and create a team that decimates all.

NUMBER VII

Super Smash Brother's Melee Master Hand: So you have battled Link, Mario, DARK LINK, MARTH,..... Kirby yeah.  You mastered the story mode and you fight The Master....HAND!!!  Yeah a hand, supposedly the hand of the creator of the game himself.  Methodical like a conductor this maniacal instrument of doom.  It is a fight you will never forget.

NUMBER VI

Star Fox Andross:  Welcome to the FX Graphics of Star Fox a rail shooter unlike any other.  The graphics while a 3D looking version of something out of Atari it was none the less appealing.  You fight your way through boss after boss till you reach Andross, the boss will test your limits and than some.  You have to show your mastery of skills learned through out the game and be bold and daring to get in those timely shots.  But once you see the boss go down, you know, you have become a master.

NUMBER V

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess: Skull King:  This battle was down right FUN.  shortly after getting the anicent gear tool.  You are treated to a boss battle that feels like it is right out of Tony Hawk Pro Skater. WITH A SWORD!!!! Oh man was this boss fight fun.  I was so tempted to replay the temple again to fight the boss again.

NUMBER IV

Guitar Hero Three Satan:  The rhythmic guitar game that made rock star wannabes drool.  Satan was one boss fight that was both challenging and fun.  Instead of star power you got power ups to mess with Satan's playing ability.  Laughingly fun, and extremely tough given the learning curve and level of ability the players had to have to make it that far.  When Satan uses the same power ups on you to throw off your game ohhhh man will you want to smash your guitar into the ground out of fustration.  But with time and diligence and super mad skills and maybe the blessing of the rock gods themselves.  When you beat Satan you can proudly say you stood upon the mountains of hell and slain the beast.

NUMBER III

Devil May Cry 3 Cerberus: A strange and challenging battle to be sure.  You fight the legendary guardian of Hades himself in order to gain entrance into the Tower of Temen-ni-gru in order to find and face down your Twin brother to stop him from entering hell in order to claim the sword of your father.  For new players Cerberus is one tough cookie to fight.  Three heads, ice shooting toward you and from the ceiling.  Early on you are tested and shown how much you will need to learn in order to master the many many skills of Dante Sparda.

NUMBER II

Megaman 2 Airman:  Labeled as one of the toughest bosses in Megaman 2, air man is a PAIN IN THE You know what.  His patterns are tough and couple that with being sucked in toward the boss itself.  If you are not a seasoned Megaman player you will rage, you will curse and you will throw your controller in the air in fustration...... Until you figure out Airman's Weakness  The leaf shield.  Once you beat Air Man, you will feel like you can jump right on over to Wily's Castle and take down the big bad doctor.

Before we get to  Number 1 lets recap
10. Bowser
9. Wacky Scientist
8. Your rival
7. Master Hand
6. Andross
5. Skull King
4. Satan
3. Cerberus
2. Airman

ITS!  NUMBER I

Out of all the possible bosses, all of which provide excellent challenges all of which give you the satisfaction of making you rage to the point of quitting.... Who can provide you with the ultimate challenge....

Final Fantasy VI Kefka:  The seemingly harmless clown who you fight in the beginning of the game, under that happy face lays a nihilist sociopath who wants nothing more than to watch the world burn.  How do you try to get someone who cares about nothing see reason..... You can't and at one point he succeeds so when you finally ascend to top to face down Kefka one last time, the battle is both beautiful and hauntingly sad.

I hope that you have enjoyed this list and I look forward to making another for you.
